Big Lonely Doug is one of the only Douglas Firs left standing in a clearcut area in the Gordon River Valley near Port Renfrew, British Columbia, Canada. He stands approximately 230ft tall and is estimated to be over 1,000 years old. He's one of the tallest and oldest known Douglas firs in Canada and is a prominent symbol of conservation efforts.
